It’s been another ‘smashing’ year for Ping!, the national street ping pong festival, with an estimated 1.56 MILLION visits to its free table tennis tables.
Twenty-four towns and cities across the width and breadth of England welcomed the tables, providing free to use equipment and encouraging everyone to grab a bat and get playing.
The tables took people by surprise popping up as they did in a diverse variety of places from Blackpool’s Winter Gardens to Plymouth Hoe and a multitude of suprising locations in between, creating a delightfully informal, fun and unique experience.
Ping! makes table tennis more accessible by bringing the game into places people already spend time, to inspire them to lead more active, healthy and happy lives.
By getting the nation enjoying and playing table tennis, our vision is to build a community of participants who continue to play long term.
So this doesn’t mean that just because the summer is over, Ping! has ended. Infact there are hundreds of #PlayOn opportunities out there for you to play table tennis informally, and have a whole lot of fun.
So whether you’d like to play for free on a Ping! table, join a ‘Bat and Chat’ social table tennis session or even get serious and join a club, click here and head for the tables!
